2017 EN POINTE: Classical Ballet Competition

Come cheer on your favorite ballet dancer. Seventeen contestants, one from each chapter of NSAL will compete for a $12,000 grand prize.

Tony Award-winning Choreographer Christopher Wheeldon
Artistic Director of American Ballet Theater’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School Cynthia Harvey
Executive Artistic Director of New York’s Eglevsky Ballet Company Maurice Brandon Curry
Internationally Acclaimed Dance Photographer Steven Caras
The first part of the competition will be a ballet class with internationally renowned ballet dancer and teacher Alexey Kulpin. Then each competitor has three minutes to perform a solo variation.
The national ballet competition will take place during NSAL’s Annual Meeting, a total cultural immersion week held in and around Palm Beach County beginning May 29 – June 3.
